Stefan has published nine books that delve into the design challenges of contemporary cities, covering topics such as high-density development, sustainable urbanism, and climate resilience. His work has garnered widespread acclaim.
Stefan’s work experience encompasses a diverse range of projects, from mixed-use master plans to high rise towers. Prior to starting his practice, while at Information Based Architecture, he worked on the 2000-feet tall Canton Tower, which briefly held the title of the world’s tallest tower.
Stefan Al, PhD RA LEED is an architect, urban designer, and author focused on sustainable, people-centered buildings and cities. He directs the Urban Planning program at CUNY Hunter College, advises governments such as Hong Kong, and has worked on iconic projects such as 2000-feet tall Canton Tower.
